7th Symposium on ICTs, the Environment and Climate Change, from May 29th to 31st 2012

A unique international event in 2012
Prompt is pleased to invite you to the International Telecommunications Union’s (ITU) 7th Symposium on ICTs, the Environment and Climate Change, from May 29th to 31st 2012 in Montreal. Since 2008, this United Nations organization has been mobilizing the international ICT sector in order to address the Green ICT challenge, which offers an essentially untapped opportunity of 800 billion dollars annually in energy efficiency and of the elimination of 15% of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions.

This seventh symposium on climate change follows the successful series of events held between 2008 and 2011 in Kyoto, London, Quito, Seoul, Cairo and Accra.
The Montreal Symposium, the ITU’s first in North America, promises to be a seminal event, and will bring together hundreds of participants from around the globe to discuss Green ICT issues over three days.

Prompt therefore invites the ICT and environmental communities to participate in this landmark event!

WHERE: The event will be held on the premises of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) headquarters, another United Nations agency, in downtown Montreal.
