The board of directors of Prompt is pleased to announce the arrival of a new general manager, Luc Sirois, within its organization. His arrival, as well as several other initiatives to be announced in the coming months, demonstrate more than ever Prompt’s desire to play its role as a mobilizing agent in collaborative ICT research in Quebec.
With a degree in electrical engineering from McGill University and another in business administration from Harvard University, Mr. Sirois is a manager and entrepreneur known for his creative approach to innovation and for his involvement in the field of digital technology in Quebec and around the world. His wealth of professional experience includes working at McKinsey & Company as a strategic advisor, being an experienced medical technology entrepreneur at Resonant Medical (now Elekta Canada), and working in the corporate sector, notably for Telus, as a senior executive.
He recently brought Quebec expertise into the limelight as the co-founder of Hacking Health, an international health innovation movement present in more than 20 countries, and as the founder of the Hacking Health Accelerator. Mr. Sirois works with many start-ups and non-profit organizations focusing on youth, health, science and education, including the YMCAs of Quebec and INRS University.
Mr. Sirois will officially commence his duties at Prompt on April 24th. Madeleine Jean and François Borrelli will complete his seasoned team. Together they will be responsible for the management and development of Prompt. Prompt’s board of directors would like to acknowledge the work done by Ms. Jean, who very successfully filled in on an interim basis, as well as Mr. Borrelli, who has continued his business development responsibilities.
Mr. Sirois will dynamically lead Prompt’s teams in Montreal and Quebec City. He will also quickly establish close ties with the hundreds of people who make up our community of researchers and companies.
